Autism Parenting, BAME Perspectives & the importance of Cultural Competency

I’ve been invited to contribute to this event hosted by the IPGG – Institute of Government & Public Policy.

I’ll be talking about autism parenting from a BAME perspective, cultural considerations and the need for cultural competency in all the agencies that autistic people interact with throughout their lives.

Details

This event will examine how a multi-agency approach can be used to support autistic people and their families and carers to allow them to have more possibilities to thrive in society and have better access to the help they require throughout their lives.

The event brings together senior leaders from across the local authorities, NHS, Government, academia and the wider public sector.
